Yes, we’re moving.
And it’s gonna be awesome.
In March of 2019, we’ll be closing our South Side production facility along with our brewpub and bowling alley on Lincoln Ave. to move all operations to a new location at 417 N. Ashland Ave.
This location will launch a new beginning for our brewery and we’re really f*cking excited about it.
First, there’s the beer.
At the Ashland Ave. space, we’ll have vastly more flexibility in what we make, when we make it, and how it gets into the hands of the beer drinker. We’ll be able to package a much wider variety of our experimental brews, as well as keeping up with our well-loved classics like Face Melter Hibiscus IPA and Pterodactyl Death Scream Double Dry-Hopped DIPA. We’re very excited to dive further into the art and science of active fermentation dry-hopping as well as wild and sour barrel-aging. This adaptability is immeasurably important to us. We’re giddy with anticipation.
That’s right, giddy.
Then there’s the experience.
Our new location is a beautifully crafted timber loft space with an abundance of natural light and a welcoming layout. This space will include a beer hall, a bottle shop, offices, and our brewery operations. We will certainly miss Lincoln Ave., but we know this is an incredible opportunity for Burnt City and an exciting step forward.
And finally, there’s us.
We’re bringing our same team to Ashland Ave. Both teams, actually. And that’s important. We agree that we need the ability to pivot and adapt as the beer industry continues to evolve, and creativity and collaboration are much easier when we’re all in the same place.
In the meantime…
We look forward to seeing you at 2747 N. Lincoln Ave. for one last winter season. Join our winter bowling league, raise a glass at your holiday party, and make as many bowling reservations as you can. It’s gonna be a hellaofa year.
